Disclaimer
Last updated: April 2026
Please read this page before relying on any content on StudyIn.HK.
1. Nature of the information
The articles on this Site are general informational content compiled from publicly available sources — Hong Kong Immigration Department, the University Grants Committee (UGC), individual university admissions offices, professional bodies (e.g., HKICPA, HKMA), news media, and our own editorial research. They are not legal advice, immigration advice, financial advice, tax advice, or admissions advice tailored to your individual case.
If your decision involves any of the following, please consult a qualified professional or the relevant statutory body directly:
- Visas, residence and work entitlement → Hong Kong Immigration Department (https://www.immd.gov.hk) or a licensed Hong Kong immigration lawyer.
- Admission to a specific programme → the admissions office of the university concerned.
- Recognition of a Hong Kong qualification in your home country → the relevant national accreditation authority.
- Tax or financial planning → a qualified accountant or financial adviser.
2. Accuracy and timeliness
Hong Kong policies change. Tuition fees, IANG conditions, application deadlines, and Talent / TTPS scheme criteria have all been adjusted in recent years. We update articles as soon as we notice an official change, but there will always be a window between the official change and our update. Always verify time-sensitive information against the official source before acting on it.
If you spot an outdated fact, please email [email protected] so we can fix it.
3. Outbound links
Some articles link to third-party websites (universities, government departments, partner platforms such as student-matching forms). Once you leave studyin.hk, the destination site’s terms and privacy policy apply. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of external sites.
A handful of links may be partner / referral links (clearly labelled where applicable). We never recommend a service we have not personally assessed, and the placement of any link is editorially independent — i.e., not influenced by referral economics.
4. No agency relationship
StudyIn.HK is not a licensed education agent and not a licensed Hong Kong immigration consultant. Reading our articles does not create an advisor-client relationship. We do not submit applications on your behalf, do not draft official documents for you, and cannot guarantee any admissions, visa, or employment outcome.
If you ask us a question by email, our reply is informational and the same disclaimer applies.
5. AI-assistant usage
This Site exposes structured content (/en/llms.txt, /en/llms-full.txt, JSON-LD QAPage schema) so that AI assistants can ingest and cite our material. We welcome citation with a link back to the source article. However, AI assistants can hallucinate or paraphrase incorrectly — if you read a claim attributed to “StudyIn.HK” inside an AI answer, please open the source article and verify before relying on it.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudyIn.HK and its editorial team accept no liability for losses arising from reliance on the information published here. Use of this Site is at your own risk.
7. Jurisdiction
This Site is operated from Hong Kong. Any dispute arising from the use of this Site is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
